The Intern will work in the Chemical/Pharma/Oil and gas/Environmental industries.Responsibilities / Tasks Orientation Immersion: Engage in a comprehensive one-week orientation program designed to introduce you to our business landscape and your assigned project. Department Insights: Gain insights into various departments during introductory sessions in your first week, broadening your understanding of our organization. Professional Shadows: Spend the second week shadowing accomplished operations and engineering professionals, absorbing their practical expertise. Market Exploration: Dedicate 20% of your time to market studies and crafting presentations, focusing on the oil and gas sector and our Canadian clientele. Chem-Pharm Collaboration: Collaborate with our Chem-Pharmaceutical division on projects related to social media processes. Engineering Impact: Embrace a Business Enhancement or Lean Project guided by the Engineering Manager, recognizing engineering's pivotal role in customer success. Project Execution: Execute and complete projects from weeks three to twelve, honing your skills while contributing to our operational excellence. Management Presentation: Deliver a formal presentation to showcase your project's progress and outcomes to our management team at the internship's culmination. Your Profile / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Full-time enrollment in an accredited engineering program. Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Passion for learning and making a meaningful contribution. Availability to work 15-20 hours/week during the academic year and full-time during breaks. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms for extended periods. Capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
