Position: Senior Design Engineer Position Duties: Assist in the design and development of projects based on client requirements Prepare design documentation, technical specifications, and project-related materials as needed Attend project meetings to discuss issues and present new design ideas Collaborate with the Manager to develop project plans and schedules Create design layouts and sketches in accordance with company standards Stay updated on new design technologies and industry best practices Respond to design-related questions and concerns promptly Support team members and perform peer reviews of designs and plans Help prioritize, plan, and execute multiple projects effectively and efficiently Evaluate and suggest improvements to existing designs Adhere to company policies and design standards Perform additional duties as assigned by management Provide indirect supervision to CAD Operators and Design Technicians within the engineering department Education/Experience Requirements: Masters degree in Civil Engineering and 24 months of experience as a Design Engineer Special Requirements: At least two years (1) experience designing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) structures, (2) experience working with soil nails, helical piles and anchors, reinforced concrete structures, (3) design experience in geotechnical and structural systems, soil mechanics fundamentals, statics and structural design principles, engineering forces and load paths, design methodologies, applicable codes and standards, (4) experience working with the following programs: ReSSA, Slide, L-Pile, Vespa, MSEW, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel. Remote work in the US permitted. Travel Requirement: 1015% domestic travel required for construction site visits.
