The Role: As a Business Development Manager , you’ll be responsible for generating new business, developing strategic partnerships, and growing our client base across construction companies, suppliers, recruitment agencies, and advertisers. This role is ideal for someone with strong B2B sales experience, preferably in digital media, construction, or recruitment, who is ready to take ownership of revenue generation and relationship building in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, target, and onboard new clients (advertisers, recruiters, service providers)
Sell advertising packages, job listings, featured content, and newsletter placements
Build and manage a pipeline of prospects using CRM tools and outbound outreach
Conduct discovery calls and product demos tailored to client needs
Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
Collaborate with marketing, editorial, and product teams to align offerings with client goals
Attend construction industry events, webinars, or virtual expos to promote the platform
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
What We’re Looking For:
Proven B2B sales or business development experience (3+ years), ideally in digital media, advertising, recruitment, or the construction sector
Strong understanding of the UK construction landscape and key stakeholders
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
Comfortable using CRM systems and digital sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Passion for delivering value to clients and growing long-term relationships
