Lead day-to-day on-site construction operations Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades Manage schedules, inspections, materials, and logistics Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized job sites Conduct and document progress meetings Collaborate with the Project Manager on budgets, cost controls, and contracts Ensure compliance with safety standards, SWPPP, and company protocols What Were Looking For 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction Strong knowledge of ground-up construction , especially Big Box Retail or Grocery Walmart project experience is a major plus Comfortable with scheduling, quality control, subcontractor management OSHA 30 Certification (or willing to obtain upon hire) SWPPP Certification (preferred) Proficient in MS Office; WRIKE and FieldWire familiarity a bonus Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Willingness to travel and manage out-of-town projects as needed Interested? This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and will lead the coordination of all project activities from preconstruction through closeout. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage project schedules using computer-based scheduling software Anticipate, identify, and negotiate changes to the documented scope of work Coordinate and monitor all construction activities for new builds and facility upgrades Administer contracts, including subcontracts and material purchasing, in accordance with company policies and procedures Implement project scope, schedules, and cost estimates for renovations, build-outs, new facilities, and acquisitions Establish structure and organization for managing complex projects with a focus on quality, productivity, and consistency Manage multiple active projects simultaneously Collaborate with and support the Estimating Department when appropriate Background Profile Minimum of 7 years of commercial construction project management experience Commercial project management experience required in retail construction - big box experience strongly desired. Knowledge of tilt-wall construction, steel beam, and concrete construction Excellent analytical, budgeting, and scheduling skills Proven experience preparing written cost estimates, supporting narratives, and formal proposals Experience managing negotiated work Strong ability to manage contract documents and written scopes of work to ensure customer satisfaction and budget compliance Knowledge of labor laws, construction contracts, construction administration, and construction dispute resolution processes Experience with quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a highly organized approach to workflow and documentation Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
