Responsibilities : Inspect assembled MIL spec. and commercial enclosures, and components per engineering drawing, workmanship manual and customer requirements. Inspect sheet metal parts from the CNC, milling process, brake press and hardware insertion. Inspect special processes i.e., plating, painting, and silk-screening. Visual inspection of welds. Perform penetrant test on welds. Inspect defective return material from customers and provide feedback on the rework needed. Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. Support Source Inspection with customers when QA Manager is not available. Follow established process/procedures for discarding or rejecting products, and materials. Complete inspection records, logs, and rejection report reviews as part of their final inspection operation. Overview The Certified Electrician 2 will provide electrical expertise to lead the installation of residential solar systems and batteries to ensure conformance to existing national and local building codes. The Certified Electrician 2 also performs and trains others on a variety of electrical work including main panel upgrades, electrical troubleshooting and service work.
