What you'll do
- Install & repair: Rough-in, set, and finish plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, vent, storm, gas).
- Pipe work: Measure, cut, thread, solder/braze, glue, and assemble copper, PEX, CPVC, PVC, cast iron, and steel.
- Fixtures & equipment: Set carriers, trim fixtures, water heaters/boilers, pumps, interceptors, and backflow devices.
- Layout & drawings: Read plans/isometrics, follow specs and local codes; mark up as-builts.
- Testing & QA: Assist/perform pressure and leak tests; flushing/disinfection; complete checklists.
- Coordination: Work with foreman, GC, and other trades to meet schedule and quality.
- Safety & housekeeping: Daily JHAs/toolbox talks; maintain clean, organized work areas; proper PPE use.
- Service (as applicable): Diagnose issues, perform repairs, document work orders, and communicate with customers.
What you'll bring
Apprentice (Entry-Early Career)
- HS diploma/GED; mechanical aptitude or trade school preferred (NCCER a plus).
- Basic hand/power tool skills; able to read a tape, level, and follow drawings.
- Willing to learn soldering/brazing, threading, grooving, and fixture setting.
Journeyman (Experienced)
- 1+ years commercial plumbing
- Proficient with code-compliant installations, hangers/supports, and testing.
- Can mentor apprentices and lead small tasks with minimal supervision.
All candidates
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Able to lift 50-75 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights/confined spaces, and in varied weather.
- Willing to work overtime/weekends as needed.
- Must pass background check & drug screen and complete I-9 verification.
- Bonus: OSHA-10/30, forklift/scissor-lift card, BIM/Trimble/Hilti layout familiarity.
Schedule & travel
Full-time, typically Mon-Fri with overtime as needed. Jobsite travel within MS; occasional nights/weekends to meet schedule windows. (Company vehicle eligibility varies by role.)
