POSITION: Process Safety Engineer

LOCATION: Houston, TX
SUMMARY: The Lead Process Safety Engineer is responsible for the process safety deliverables, setting Companys Process Safety in Design (PSID) philosophy, and participating in risk reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA studies.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the subject matter expert for PSM, RMP, and QRA.
Lead HAZOPs, LOPAs, and Human Reliability Analyses.
Support audits, investigations, training, and SOP development.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and API standards.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in engineering or Process Safety
5+ years experience in process safety or operations within the chemical industry
CFSE (Certified Functional Safety Expert)
Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910.119, EPA RMP, and API 754
Excellent communication, leadership, and risk management skills
