Role: Manufacturing Engineer - Lean/CI

Champion lean manufacturing principles and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost while focusing on innovative Battery Cabinet productssheet metal enclosures with electrical and electronic systems inside. This is a KEY CONTRIBUTOR role where you'll be part of meetings with leadership including the President to understand company goals, prioritize projects, define KPIs, and discuss customer needs in a collaborative environment where there are no walls between departments. Own and lead continuous improvement initiatives, plan and facilitate Kaizen events, and provide hands-on support on the production floor to troubleshoot and resolve process or assembly issues with custom made-to-order assembly.
Requirements:

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role
Proven experience leading Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Strong knowledge of lean principles including Kaizen, standard work, 5S, and root cause analysis
Knowledge of sheet metal and/or circuit board assembly preferred
Familiarity with weld, paint, and assembly operations highly preferred
Proficiency with data analysis, time studies, and process mapping
CAD knowledge preferred
Experience with lean tools: 5S, visual management, Poka-Yoke methodology
Ability to collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams
Experience with process standardization, layout optimization, and workflow efficiency
Hands-on approach with willingness to work on plant floor solving assembly and quality issues
