A boutique residential interior design firm based in Dallas, Texas seeking a highly skilled individual to join their team. The Interior Designer will assist the Principal with both creative and management tasks throughout each phase of a project.
The ideal candidate is a highly driven self-starter who takes initiative to ensure tasks are completed with excellence and on time. In addition to a passion for design, the candidate is very organized, has strong problem-solving skills, understands the importance of details, and strives to provide clear and concise communication. They have a strong desire to lead and to grow within the company.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Source furnishings, finishes, lighting, and construction elements.
- Produce technical specifications to ensure proper execution of designs.
- Draft furniture plans and construction elevations in AutoCAD.
- Balance multiple projects and assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
- Correspond with vendors and clients.
- Communicate with vendors and trades to obtain pricing and ensure design deliverables are achieved.
- Produce product proposals.
- Generate schedules and specifications.
- Create client presentations with digital and physical deliverables.
- Conduct project administration and organization.
- Support project management and scheduling.
- Manage and track product orders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher from accredited Interior Design program
- 5+ years prior industry experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency of Studio Designer a plus
- Proficiency with Mac systems and Dropbox
- Exceptional eye for color and pattern
- A desire to learn and to seek opportunities for professional growth
- Articulate verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient in time management
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast paced environment
- Firm is based in Turtle Creek, Dallas and position is full time in person and requires reliable daily transportation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
