Title: Technical Instructional Designer 3 - Learning and Development

Location: Fully Remote Domestic US Sourcing. MUST be available to work standard PST core hours.

Top Hard Skills (Minimum years experience required for each):

Instructional design, including needs assessment, learner, context, and task analyses - Minimum 5 years experience

Articulate (Storyline, Rise) and Adobe PremierPro & Adobe Creative Suite - Minimum 3 years experience

Working with cross functional-teams - Minimum 3 years experience

Technical communications (writing and editing) - 3-5 years work related experience required

MS Office experience - 3-5 years work related experience required

Experience working with clients, subject matter experts, and development team members to create learning programs - 3-5 years work related experience required

"Nice-to-Have" Skills:

Degree in instructional design or related field

Experience with AI platforms and 3D modeling

Previous data center instructional experience

Advanced proficiency in Articulate, including developing sophisticated learning interactions and visual elements

Deep understanding of core systems of branching within Articulate Storyline

Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies

Detailed Ideal Candidate Profile: We are seeking an Instructional Designer with 3-5 years of experience, ideally with a background in working closely with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The ideal candidate is a proactive creator who can swiftly design, develop, and maintain high-quality, performance-based e-learning courses and curriculum for critical operational roles, including datacenter technicians. Success requires advanced proficiency in e-learning authoring tools like Articulate (Storyline/Rise) and multi-media tools like the Adobe Creative Suite. The best-fit candidate will not only deliver engaging content that meets instructional design and accessibility standards but also manage multiple projects effectively and contribute to strategic initiatives like AI-enabled learning.

Team / Reporting Structure Context: The role supports the CO+I Learning organization focused on delivering learning curriculum for various support teams, specifically including data centers. The position is critical to the mission of delivering innovative, scalable, and effective learning solutions that maintain operational excellence. The contractor will work closely with Integrated Learning Program Managers, other Instructional Designers, and SMEs.
