The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will take on a high-impact leadership role overseeing the development and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes. You will lead a specialized team of Engineers and Technicians, driving results in a high-stakes environment focused on new product development and continuous improvement of mature production programs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Engineering Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to exceed production, quality, and safety objectives.




  • Process Architecture: Oversee the qualification of manufacturing processes for new products; define and document procedures, operation sequences, and work instructions.




  • Advanced Electronics Oversight: Lead the manufacturing strategy for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and sensitive electronics, ensuring strict adherence to NASA and IPC standards(link removed)>



  • Operational Excellence: Own and support automated manufacturing cells, lead equipment justification and implementation, and drive process stability to reduce labor variation.




  • Strategic Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure the manufacturability of designs and resolve complex process issues.




  • Cost & Estimation: Establish time standards, cost estimates, and economic run quantities; support project initiatives and cost estimating for new proposals.




Required Qualifications


  • Experience: 5+ years of engineering or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.




  • Management: 3+ years of direct people management experience (managing professional engineers preferred).




  • Technical Domain: Specific experience in the manufacturing of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and sensitive electronics.




  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with IPC and NASA standards for electronics manufacturing.




  • Compliance: Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information (U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency typically required).




  • Communication: Strong ability to influence and present technical data to stakeholders.




Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing).




  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or Lean Certification.




  • Hands-on experience setting up and operating SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment.
