We're seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a variety of agricultural and feedlot equipment. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring the reliability, performance and safety of our machinery from feed trucks and tractors to loaders and skid steers.
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines used in feed trucks, tractors, loaders and other farm equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, cooling and fuel systems
- Perform engine overhauls, brake repairs and transmission service
- Maintain and service small engines, generators and 4-wheelers
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve performance issues
- Weld and fabricate components for repairs or modifications (MIG, TIG, stick, or gas)
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs
- Keep a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or agricultural mechanic
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
- Experience using diagnostic and repair tools
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to read service manuals and schematics
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license required (CDL or ASE Certification a plus)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
