Maintenance Technician - Production Our client is a contract packer or co-packer, co-packs ready to drink beverage products in aluminum cans ranging from juices, energy drinks, teas and carbonated soda drinks in a wide variety of aluminum can sizes.
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems.
Shift: Sunday-Tuesday and ever other Wednesday - 6am - 6:30pm
Pay: Up to $36/hr for well qualified candidates (more for highly qualified individuals who are a good long term culture fit)
Duties:
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose problems and repair machines.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
- Clean and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
- Document work performed in preventive maintenance database.
- Coordinates with Scheduling if maintenance activities at a workstation are expected to shut down production for more than one hour.
- Utilize the current computer system to document all maintenance activities for tracking purposes.
Requirements:
- 3 years minimum relevant mechanical experience required.
- Experience working with Krones equipment a strong plus
- Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and Regulations
- At least 2 professional references at recent companies.
- Speak, Read, Write in English for workplace safety.
- Ability to do basic mental math and use computers
- Competitive applicants will have held jobs for at least 2-3 years at a time with good references.
