We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Technician with strong multi-craft abilities and an advanced electrical troubleshooting background to support a high-volume manufacturing facility that produces printed film, bags, and flexible packaging. This is a new position created to enhance the teams technical depth, reduce downtime, and strengthen the plants troubleshooting capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex electrical issues, working across a wide range of production and facility equipment, and contributing to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues on:
Flexographic presses (Comexi, Uteco, W&H, Bobst)
Laminators, slitters, pouch machines, and bag-making equipment
Work with facility systems including:
Chillers, compressors, transformers, oxidizers, and distillation equipment
Perform safe, accurate work inside electrical panels using proper procedures.
Assist with troubleshooting PLC/HMI-related issues (board swaps, sensor troubleshooting; no programming required).
Support and repair facility and production systems (e.g., floor scrubbers, support equipment).
Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, manuals, and equipment documentation.
Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance through the NET Facilities system (monthly, weekly, quarterly, annual PMs).
Collaborate with a team of maintenance techs and a maintenance manager to ensure efficient operations and minimized downtime.
Strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities with experience diagnosing complex issues.
Ability to read electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment manuals.
Familiarity with PLC interfaces, sensors, and HMIs for diagnostic purposes.
Experience working on large industrial manufacturing equipmentpreferably in flexible packaging, printing, plastics, or converting industries.
Electrical maintenance experience in a plant environment with a variety of equipment
Multi-craft skill set including mechanical aptitude.
Field service technicians with strong electrical backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, including Spanish-speaking colleagues; patience, professionalism, and respect are essential.
Must adhere to strict safety standardsno high-risk or improvisational (garage electrician) methods.
Flexibility to work various shift structures (8, 10, or 12 hours) and participate in evening on-call rotation(link removed)>
Steady work history preferred (23 years in past roles);
Quickly become effective at troubleshooting and responding to downtime events.
Learn and adapt to the diverse equipment on the production floor.
Successfully integrate with the maintenance team and contribute to daily uptime goals.
Expand proficiency across all production and facility systems.
Take a proactive role in identifying issues before failures occur.
Strengthen preventative maintenance efforts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
