Landscaping & Hardscape Estimator (Concrete & Outdoor Projects)

Compensation

• Entry / Junior Estimator: $45,000 – $60,000 / year
• Mid-Level Estimator: $60,000 – $80,000 / year
• Senior / Highly Experienced Estimator: $80,000 – $90,000+ / year

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscaping & Hardscape Estimator to prepare accurate job estimates for residential and commercial outdoor projects. This role focuses heavily on concrete work pricing while also supporting landscape, drainage, sod, and hardscape estimates.

The ideal candidate understands construction measurements, material takeoffs, labor calculations, and profit margins — and can confidently present pricing to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site measurements and project evaluations
• Prepare accurate estimates for:
  • Concrete slabs, driveways, sidewalks, patios & footers
  • Retaining walls, pavers, and drainage systems
  • Sod installation, grading, and general landscaping
  • Underground utilities and site work
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs
• Build job proposals and scope-of-work documents
• Work closely with project managers and crew leaders
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial clients
• Track job costs to improve estimating accuracy

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in estimating, construction, landscaping, or concrete work
• Strong understanding of concrete measurements, thickness, PSI, and reinforcement
• Ability to read site plans and blueprints
• Experience using bidding and takeoff software such as Bluebeam (required)
• Comfortable using Excel or estimating software
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with drainage systems, grading, and hardscapes
• Familiarity with job costing and margin tracking
• Sales or client-facing experience
