Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join our Engineering Services team. This role is critical to driving operational excellence and delivering measurable improvements across manufacturing and supply chain systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and client-facing skills, thriving in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities: Engineering Leadership & Delivery
- Lead Industrial Engineering engagements, including work measurement, engineered standards, methods analysis, labor modeling, and line balancing.
- Design and optimize layouts, process flows, and facility footprints to maximize throughput, efficiency, and safety.
Operational Improvement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end value streams.
- Conduct time studies, develop standards (including MOST or equivalent), and support labor planning models.
- Identify opportunities for productivity, quality, and cost improvement.
Digital & Advanced Tools
- Build and deploy digital twins, simulation models, and decision-support tools to evaluate scenarios and mitigate risks.
- Leverage advanced analytics and data-driven methods to generate actionable insights.
Training & Capability Development
- Develop and deliver training modules on IE tools, Lean practices, and structured frameworks.
- Facilitate workshops, simulations, and coaching to build internal capability.
- Mentor junior engineers through structured development paths.
Coaching & Change Management
- Lead Kaizen events, workshops, and structured problem-solving sessions.
- Deliver leadership coaching to embed continuous improvement mindsets.
Client Engagement & Impact
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic recommendations and measurable ROI.
- Support business development by scoping projects, preparing proposals, and contributing to thought leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1015 years of progressive experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing Consulting.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and engineered labor standards (MOST or equivalent).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in OEM or Tier-1 environments.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using simulation and digital twin tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Supervisory or team lead experience with mentoring capability.
- Ability to travel up to 80% within North America.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in IE software and simulation tools.
- Experience in multiple industries (automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, etc.).
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
