A Snapshot of Your Day The day-to-day life of a Field Service Engineer specializing in digital metrology can be very diverse. One day, you may be at a client site performing a blue light laser scan of critical dimensions on a centrifugal compressor casing, followed by utilizing specialty software to build a digital assembly of the service casing with a new revamp rotor. On other days, you might provide remote analysis or collaborate with the project management team on a future outage that requires a laser tracker to assist with equipment alignment.
