A Snapshot of Your Day Are you passionate about solving complex aerodynamic challenges through advanced analysis and data-driven engineering? As a Compressor Aerodynamics Engineer at Siemens Energy Gas Turbine Engineering, you'll join a global team dedicated to ensuring the performance and reliability of our leading-edge compressor blades, vanes, diffusors and other critical components. Here, your skills in aerodynamics and airfoil design powered by advanced CFD methods will make a real impact by pushing boundaries and driving technologies that power the world. You will align with colleagues, convince the stakeholders and make decisions based on simplified low fidelity approaches or run a 3D full compressor CFD, create compressor maps or evaluate test and fleet data to find solutions for complex design tasks, or anything in between. You will be part of a global, international team and closely collaborate with colleagues from adjacent disciplines, i.e. mechanical integrity, secondary air system, whole engine modelling, product definition, manufacturing and service to develop a design that is a balanced compromise between project requirements for performance, lifetime and costs. How You'll Make an Impact Design, analysis and assessment of rotor & stator airfoils and flowpath, perform compressor performance evaluation as well as design optimization using 1D, 2D and 3D approaches Develop and implement enhanced aerodynamic design tools and methods Assess and evaluate test and field measurements, as well as fleet and service feedback Provide timely field service support and solutions to manufacturing or customer issues Drive a team through tough technical challenges Lead internal and external research and development programs including management of outsourcing specific tasks What You Bring University degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering required 3+years of aerodynamic design/analysis experience with rotating components for turbo-machinery or similar applications, with a strong background in axial compressors Advanced knowledge of computational methods, i.e. CFD using ANSYS CFX, and coding experience with e.g. python to automize your workflows and process your data Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoy working with colleagues from different organizations and cultural backgrounds. Roers General Contracting is looking for a Director of Construction to help provide leadership, oversight, management and training to all Roers General Contracting team members for the day-to-day operations and be ultimately responsible for the successful execution of all RGC projects. In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring all project teams are following the RGC procedures and will be responsible for the establishment of new, and or change of existing, procedures as necessary for continued improvement, along with associated training. Make recommendations to Sr. Director and Sr. Vice President on hiring of personnel to maintain adequate project assignments and in line with position yearly gross margin goals. Work with Project Executives and General Superintendent to determine staffing needs. Coordinate recruitment efforts with Human Resources to solicit appropriate candidates. Coordinate involvement of team in interviews and hiring decisions. Coordinate with Human Resources offer letters to be sent to selected candidates. Evaluate and recommend optimum number of team members necessary to accommodate current/expected workloads. Training and Development Identify topics and set agendas for Monthly Operations Meetings Facilitate Training classes by working with the overall team to develop yearly class topics and monitor participation. Establish annual performance goals for each direct report and ensure that goals are established for their direct reports. Superintendent II is generally capable of managing multiple scopes/trades within the projects up to $49 million in size. Job Responsibilities Identifies root causes of hazards, delays, poor quality, and other jobsite issues. Develops solutions and plans that mitigate future risk to the project.
